“it’s all fun and games until the stick turns blue”

I have this t-shirt that I wear sometimes.  it’s got a stick figure graphic on the front of a woman sitting on the toilet and a man beside her.  She’s holding a pregnancy test and the text of the shirt is “it’s all fun and games until the stick turns blue.”

I like this shirt, it’s comfortable and it’s funny as long as you don’t think about it too much, but I don’t agree with it(.  I’m coming from the point of view of someone who wants kids, someday, and if you never wanted kids and you knew that, you might come from a different place.)  I think this shirt would probably (rightfully) offend someone who had children and was a parent.  It’s not that having kids means the fun and games ends; it means the fun and games you had a childless person ends and are replaced with a different kind of fun and games.
